Amanda Jankus - Stylist/Colorist
Amand has had her cosmetology license since 2004 and graduated from Cameo Beauty School in Illinois. She chose this career as an outlet to express her creativity. She feels her strong points are being able to envision a change in a client’s style/color while keeping their personality in mind and the ability to communicate it to them. She chose to work at Gaia Salon.Spa because of the intentional salon atmosphere that focuses on client care. Amanda performs haircutting, perming, updos and color at GSS. Amanda attended cutting and blow drying classes at 2 salons in Chicago and is presently attending Purdue University Calumet.
Laura Cantu-Brann -Owner/Stylist/Colorist
Laura has had her cosmetology license since 1982, and opened Gaia Salon.Spa in 1996. Her goal is to have a happy, healthy environment to work in. "I love doing hair and I am always looking for new ideas and styles to integrate into my craft. I feel my strong points are makeovers, I love to change my clients cuts and colors to make them look and feel rejuvenated. I also run the assistant program and put all our new talent stylists through this curriculum so that I know they are doing quality, consistent and superior work." She has taken numerous classes including Aveda haircutting, skin care, hair color, makeup and product knowledge, also thru Schwarzkopf hair color and product knowledge classes, and is a Certified Brazilian Blowout stylist. The services she performs are haircutting, hair color, manicures, eyebrow waxing, Brazilian Blowout and makeup.
Kaylen Nguyen -
Stylist/Colorist/Manicurist
Kaylen our newest talent has graduated our education program with flying colors. Her strong points are updo styles, haircutting and color. She chose this profession to express her creativity while makeing her clients look and feel great. She has just been certified in our latest service technique Brazilian Blowout and looks forward to continuing her education. Kaylen performs haircutting, color, updos, perms, eyebrow waxing, makeup, Brazilian Blowout and manicures. She likes working at GSS because of the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Kim Martin - Stylist/Colorist
Stylist
Kim has had her cosmetology license since 1994 and graduated from Creative Beauty Academy in Highland IN. She chose this career because she has always had an interest in hair and she enjoys making people look and feel their best. She feels her strong points are her confidence in all aspects of hair design. She feels that a well executed consultation is key to the desired end result. She also feels very strongly in the communication process between her clients and herself. She chose to work at Gaia Salon.Spa because she wanted a intimate work atmosphere where her clients felt relaxed and comfortable. She performs haircuts, color, highlights, perms, facial waxing and updos at GSS. Kim has taught classes and took part in implementing the assistant training program at GSS.
Lindsay Dudzik-Stylist/Colorist/Manicurist
She has had her cosmotology iicense since 2004, graduated from Creative Beauty Academy and completed the GSS training program. She chose this profession because she's always wanted to do hair and likes to make people happy. She likes working at GSS because of the comfortable atmosphere and continuous education. Her goal is to have each client look and feel beautiful and happy when they leave, whether it be a drastic or subtle change. Lindsay's favorite services are color especially creative placement of highlights. Her services include color, hair cuts, perms, makeup, updos, eyebrow waxing, manicures, and pedicures. She says "when my client really likes their new style, I feel like I've done my job".
Yesenia Alvarez-Stylist/Colorist
graduated and received her license from Don Robert Beauty School in 2008. She became a stylist because she rarely got the results she was looking for when she visited a salon. She has been motivated to get the best education to listen and give her clients their ultimate results. She chose GSS to work at because her experience as a client was warm and welcoming and she likes the casual atmosphere. Yesenia is always in the process of updating her education by attending classes and watching the trend. The services she performs are haircutting, updos, perms, hair extentions, color and makeup and is a certified Brazilian Blowout stylist. Yesenia invites you to visit her for your ultimate results.
Buffy Pajor-Stylist/Colorist Buffy is a stylist and has had her license since 2008, graduated from Don Roberts Beauty School and completed the GSS training program. She is very passionate about hair and making people look and feel their best. She likes working at GSS because she loves the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. It's fun and offers all the luxuries that people enjoy, also the employees are great to work with. Her strong points are color, listening to clients needs and desires. Buffy's services include haircutting, coloring, perms, and makeup. She says "I have a true passion for my profession. Without cosmetology there is no hollywood, no proms, nor fashion magazines, etc, I love my profession".

Vanessa R. Eitel - Skincare Specialist/Esthetician/Makeup Artist Vanessa graduated from Pivit Point Academy in Chicago in 2002. She chose this profession to help other people who battle with less than perfect skin. "I had to start a skincare regimen and regular facials at a young age to keep breakouts under control." She chose Gaia Salon.Spa because she was impressed with the atmosphere and image that we have, and she says the staff also tries to live the GSS and Aveda philosophy as much as possible. She does waxing, facials body treatments and makeup. She invites you to start a skincare regimen with her to show that you too can have beautiful skin. Vanessa says she's excited about doing the new treatments in our menu they are unique and amazing.
Melissa Kile - Clinical Massage Therapist Melissa is a strong believer in holistic healing, She says "I enjoys being able to help people heal themselves". Her stong points are her need to keep expanding and learning. She enjoys the differences in each individual and focusing on their personal needs. Melissa performs massage, hot stone massage, deep tissue massage, lomi-lomi Ka Hawaiian massage, raindrop therapy, and neti (sinus) massage.
